Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 June 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information when you visit argusgroup.ai (the “Site”). It applies only to the Site itself. It does not cover the ArgusX platform or any investigation or due diligence services we provide under separate contract, each of which is governed by its own terms and privacy documentation.

The Site does not contain forms, account registration, or any other facility for you to submit personal information to us. The information described below is collected automatically in the background when you browse, as is standard for most websites.

2. Who we are

The Site is operated by the Argus AI group of companies, comprising Argus AI Group UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, and Argus AI Group LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. In this policy, “Argus AI”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to these entities together.

The data controller responsible for your information depends on where you are located:

  • If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or elsewhere outside the United States, Argus AI Group UK Ltd is the controller.
  • If you are in the United States, Argus AI Group LLC is the controller.

3. Information we collect

We do not ask you to provide any personal information through the Site. We collect only the limited technical information that is generated automatically when you visit, which may include:

  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • your browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen settings;
  • the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, time spent on pages, and the links you click;
  • the website or source that referred you to the Site; and
  • information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

We do not intentionally collect any special category data (such as information about health, race, religion, or political opinions) through the Site.

4. How and why we use this information

We use the information above for the following purposes:

  • to operate, maintain, and secure the Site, and to diagnose technical problems;
  • to understand how visitors use the Site on an aggregate basis so that we can improve its content and performance; and
  • to protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.

If you contact us using the contact details published on the Site, we will use the information in your message to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence.

5. Legal bases (UK and EEA visitors)

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the Site and for understanding aggregate usage, where we have assessed that our interests are not overridden by your rights. You may object to this processing (see Section 9).
  • Consent — for any non-essential cookies and analytics technologies, which we set only after you agree through our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to meet a legal or regulatory requirement.

6. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the Site to function and do not need your consent. Non-essential cookies, including those used by third-party analytics tools to measure how the Site is used, are set only where you have consented through our cookie banner.

You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie controls on the Site and through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share the limited information described above only with:

  • service providers who host the Site, deliver content, and provide analytics on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your information; and
  • authorities, advisers, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.

8. International transfers

We operate in both the United Kingdom and the United States, and some of our service providers may process information outside your country of residence. Where information is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, as applicable.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information.

If you are in the UK or EEA, you may request access to your information; ask us to correct or erase it; ask us to restrict or object to its processing; request portability; and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to request deletion; to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law); and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the contact details provided on the Site. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Retention

We keep automatically collected information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, after which it is deleted or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you.

11. Children

The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the Site, and the “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.

13. Contact us

Questions or requests relating to this policy can be sent to us using the contact details provided on the Site.
